WHAT EVERYBODY SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TEACHING THEIR CHILDREN TO MANAGE THEIR MENTAL HEALTH
It's very distressing for them and because you don't know what to do, seeing them like that is very distressing for you too and you feel helpless.
A set of powerful techniques that teach your child how to control their mind and deal with stress anxiety and emotional challenges when they arise, taught through a series of lovely engaging bedtime stories.
A series of hypnotic stories designed especially for kids aged 4 to 10 to build mental resilience.
And because it is delivered in story, they will be learning without even knowing they are learning!
These wonderfully imaginative and effective stories are part of my library of Fumbily Wood Stories for teaching kids powerful mental tools through the medium of story. They can be played straight from your mobile phone as your child is falling asleep at bedtime.
At first, I used to just sit on her bed at bedtime and make up stories as I went. I then gradually started to weave in some hypnotic suggestions to help her have a good nights sleep. She loved listening to the adventures of the characters I created, Tumbles the Bear and all his other animal friends in Fumbily Wood.
Eventually, I decided to write down the stories and record them so Lucy could listen to them when I wasn't home for bedtime. It was my way of letting her hear my voice each night before bed.
Then when she started wetting the bed I created a Tumbles story that would help her with that.
She loved Tumbles the Bear and the things she was learning effortlessly and she wanted more stories.
Now like any young child she had the same struggles with stress, worry and anxiety that you would expect of someone her age and I wondered if next I could write some stories that could help her with that.
I had previously created an online course for adult to overcome stress and anxiety called; Anxiety No More. Could I teach her the tools from that using Tumbles the Bear and the characters from Fumbily Wood?
So I got to work and was really looking forward to seeing if it worked for Lucy...
This time the stories were about Hopper, a little rabbit that is struggling with stress and anxiety and is very tense and confused as a result. Tumbles teaches him over a series of stories, a set of techniques to control his mind and his body, his thoughts and his emotions. These were powerful techniques that I would normally only teach to my adult clients.
When they were ready, I played them for Lucy...
She loved the stories and Tumbles was able to teach her the powerful set of mental techniques quickly and easily.
Over the next few weeks both my wife Emma and I noticed that she was becoming calmer and more confident and better able to handle her emotions.
Not only that but she came home from school one day to tell me that she taught one of her friends one of the techniques when she fell in the yard and got upset.
On another occasion when her mum was getting a bit stressed over something, Lucy stepped in with some wise advice and started to teach her one of the techniques she had learned from Tumbles.
The stories were originally only ever meant for Lucy. I never intended to share them as they were a special thing between me and her. Tumbles was created for just my little girl by her daddy, that's the way I looked at.
That was until...
One night as she started listening to one of her Tumbles stories, she looked at me and asked...
“Dad, wouldn’t it be nice if Tumbles could help other kids and not just me?”
I had never considered it but how could I say no to my little girl?
So I made her a promise, but I was nervous...
What if the stories were only effective because she was listening to her Daddy's voice narrating them?
What if it didn't work for other kids who had greater challenges when it came to stress and anxiety?
But having successfully worked with clients of all ages in my practice over the years, I was quietly confident and I had to make good on my promise!
I started to slowly share these stories with the parents of some of my younger clients for whom coping with stress and anxiety was a big challenge.
And thankfully, it worked for their kids too. Even children that had seen no improvement through other traditional approaches.
And all this in a 100% natural and safe way that is also easy and enjoyable!
This gave me the confidence to offer The Fumbily Wood Stories beyond my clients, so that they can help other kids suffering from stress, anxiety, excessive worry, panic and other emotional challenges.
Every parent should have the opportunity to learn these skills.
Every kid should have the opportunity to learn these skills!
And ever since Lucy encouraged me to share Tumbles the Bear and The Fumbily Wood Stories they are now helping other kids to learn powerful skills to deal with stress, anxiety, emotional challenges and build confidence and mental resilience.
Not only this but the library of stories has grown and now there are more stories to choose from that help kids fall asleep, stop wetting the bed and learn to control their emotions.
The stories are accessed via my online platform via any smartphone, tablet or p.c.
You'll receive an email with a link and your log in details immediately after purchase and you can access the story straight away.
No, you can just use the built in speaker in your smartphone or tablet. Headphones aren't necessary as they can be uncomfortable and distracting for kids when going asleep.
No. As they are drifting off to sleep their brainwaves naturally change in to more alpha, delta and theta brainwaves that are more effective for making change in the subconscious mind.
For the first two weeks approximately they should listen to a story every night. For the next month this can be reduced down to about twice a week. For the next few months it is advised that they listen to a story at least a few times each month to ensure that the changes in the sub-conscious mind is maintained.
However, some kids like to ,listen to them more often and that is totally fine too!
No, at the end of the day this is just a nice bedtime story that has added benefits of some positive hypnotic suggestions. You can't overdoes on it!
No. It is 100% natural and safe. Hypnosis is nothing more than a state of mind characterised with certain brainwaves that make suggestions to the subconscious mind easier. Children naturally spend more time in this state of mind than adults as their young mind absorbs information.
Some kids start to put the skill and techniques in to practice immediately helping to relieve and reduce stress, anxiety, panic or worry. Other results may vary and take longer. The more chronic the problem the longer that it can take to take effect.
